Take Off Your Coat

lyrics

Patiently waiting for the day to bring better news so I can say what I've wanted to say to you.
If no one planned for the future it just might be certain disaster, but I'll acknowledge my present. It's always a deciding factor.
And I dream of the times speech brings us to perfect understanding, powder blue. We are living our truths. So much light I see in you.
With a fond determination. I hoped so, now I know, as we admire the view from the afterglow. Yes, this is why I put in the time and the effort to make this place home. Take off your coat.
Should I go dress my rifle and find an open window or should I just hope for peace on earth? By the way I hope I deserve what I think I deserve.
With a fond determination...
Being careful with the company kept these days. You get in by degrees or stay at arm's length. Not to be fake.
Tearing up through the smoke, but I'll tan the royal hides. Noses in the air. Now so petrified. We were on to them the entire time.
With a fond determination. I hoped so, now I know, as we admire the view from the afterglow. Yes, this is why I put in the time and the effort to make this place home. She said, "Take off your coat".
